After all those years of residency, I’ve come out without a permanent job. Now I have to hit the pavement researching surgey job openings.
I’ve discovered that Vascular Surgeon Jobs are scarce nowadays. That’s a serious bummer - I’d really like to stick with my specialty.
I’m looking at other types of surgery jobs, now, just in case.

A nursing career is indeed a good option if you have the right kind of expertise, if you have a sense of humanity and want to contribute in improving the health of people around you. That should of course be your primary objective in taking up a nursing career. You should be able to relate to the problems of your patients and help them to fight their ailments and come out of their conditions. Of course, the pay scale of a nurse is quite high too, so it is a very good idea to learn to be a licensed nurse. There are many different specializations in nursing, and you can choose from your preferences.

After completing my post graduate psychology, I really was not sure what I wanted to do further. I really wanted to pursue a career in psychology but was not aware of the options available and hence I was a little skeptical. I did a Google search and was amazed at the number of options available. I then went on to do my post graduation in psychology and am now a Counseling Psychologist.

After doing a course about quality inspection training I just happened to visit some new friends who were living in a neighborhood which was kept extremely dirty and unclean with litter strewn all over the place. This made me squirm. I didn't need any health inspector training to see that it needed urgent attention so I called a health inspector we knew and arranged for a presentation in my friend’s place. I made sure everyone in the neighbourhood attended and I hope at least fifty percent of them have become slightly more aware about the necessity of being clean.

Getting the label of a registered medical assistant is a good step to take after training as medical assistant because it means more prestige and job security and vertical career mobility. It is not an obligation but most employers and territories will ask for it. Registration is acquired by taking a computerized test with the American Medical Technologists AMT. To be registered one has to be 18, either pass a medical assisting course at a school accredited by either ABHES or CAAHEP, or have earned a minimum of 5 years experience.
