When I traveled to Europe several years ago, one of the structural features that stood out in my mind was the copper shingles on the roofs of many of the buildings, especially the older, larger ones. I have seen these on a few churches here in the United States, but that was about it until I noticed a neighbor had used copper shingles over the bay window of their house. They put in the new roof shingles about a year ago, and they are still very shiny and new looking. I am wondering about how long it takes for the copper to weather and turn green?
