Going Green is pretty popular and well accepted these days; I remember the seventies and the “kooks” as my father described them, installing them on their dwellings. My husband and I had been planning on utilizing green techniques for a long in planning our retirement home. The time is now, and our bamboo flooring is admired, the solar heating and utilities envied, and installing solar panels ourselves a surprise. With the help of internet plans, we are working with our contractor in scheduling when this feat of ingenuity, fearlessness and commitment will occur. It does warm my heat knowing that our labor will be make this home much more ours and vlauable to us.
